Rhys was right, a little dry, dusty and slippery today, a rain shower IMHO would not hurt the trail at all ! So with that said don't let a rain shower this weekend scare you off if you feel like riding. If by chance it's a wash out, then I'd be reluctant to venture out.

The clearcuts are now clearcuts and cut down with good visibility. There are some sections that need weedeating, and the trail could use a good cleaning, ie....debris, limbs, vines etc,,,,,, Yea, as stated earlier by a fellow rider, there's a washout at the trail's end just before the turnaround, it will need some attention, be careful and aware of it.

My buddy, today, had a great time but was finished after one lap,,, He'll be back for sure !

For the Surf Report,,,

Hey,,, With all the rain we had in the surrounding metro area, the spillway, NORCO received only TRACE AMOUNTS. With that said the trail should be in great shape for the DAWN PATROL jam session.

Looking to indoctrinate another fellow roadie in the a.m., if he doesn't weenie out.

NOTE,,, I leave the NORCO area at 3:30 pm, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE for any rainfall thereafter,,,

For todays chronicles,

I'll be there 4 sure at 5:45, ready to ride FOR 6:00,,, mud or not.

Currently under a minor weather alert, according to the weathercast WDSU, there are some areas in St Charles Parish seeing rain at this time, but shouldn't last too long,,, there is a shower approaching the NORCO area from the Northeast.

Don't be Skeered !

For the latest weather update,,, Big Wave Cajun Dave

au revoir,,,

Today at 4:30 pm trail was in great shape. 2.5 laps later it was raining and forming puddles on the trail. I would venture to say that if the trail does not get any rain tomorrow, it should be great Weds. evening.

Went ride yesterday, trail was in great shape. The only problem was that the water is starting to come up, hopefully the water goes down by Sunday. :)

Rode yesterday afternoon and trail was in pretty good shape, considering all the rain we have been having. Usual wet spots at the turn coming back.

Rhys and myself cleared all down trees today including one after Dans berm. Trails good there are several mud spots that stay even with several day days, they will need work next work day. There are seversl spots that a machette is needed to clear low, small branches but trail clear of any large trees. Anyone riding please stop a minute to clear small branches or bushes on trail this will help keep trail clear for good riding.

Thanks,Steve
