March work day

Post by vtrider » Fri Mar 12, 2010 2:24 pm

I will be @ the Spillway early Sun morning with Sprayer to spray the yellow flowers that are growing between wddamf and the turnaround. I will also have bike trailer and buckets to haul some limestone to new bridge on return trail there is a small low spot that can easily be filled with 2 buckets or so.

Cleared 2 trees, finished re-route @ sir charles ridge ,filled mud hole after new bridge, sprayed flowers growing in back after dans trail and in front and large pipeline. Good day. The metal grating over table top in pipeline is rotting and weak be careful riding over it, will work on this Sat to repair with wood or replace with wood. Kris re-set concrete bags to left of berm bridge for a by-pass it is still soggy. Thanks to all that helped.

Tim I am good for 7am, we are riding today after work and going to see what needs to be done. I also don't know if we have enough left over wood to replace the grating with wood or we can brace it with some wood, I will look at it today.

Tim, not sure of the plan we may cut one of the 2x6 beams that Ryan has out there and place it under the broken grating then put the grating back on top of beam. Just bring power drill and hand tools, shovel etc. I will have chainsaw to cut beam if you have long screws or nails bring them also. We may do some spraying if the repair goes quick.

Eric informed that Justin repaired the bridge grating (Thanks, Justin). There fore I will go to spray in the morning the yellow flowers in the back than plan to ride rest of the morning. Going around 7:30am to spray should finish in an hour them riding. We should start thinking of repairing the teeter totter soon.

Tim sure I think Rhys will be there he has 2 sprayers so 3 of us can spray, I am parking @ wddamf trail. Rhys will not be there till around 9am so you do not have to come to early.

Sorry to say but I have to bail on the work day. But there is a good side seems that there are a couple of guys from my wifes work that want to get in to MTB and I'm taking them to the Spillway Saturday morning to show them around. I'm sure I'll see you out there.
