Sat the 23 for work

Post by vtrider » Fri Jul 15, 2011 10:42 am

Everyone, saw the official work day is Sunday the 24. Sat are better day for me to work mabie we could organize a weekend of work to get more people and get 2 days of work done. If Tim reports on what is needed I will organize a Sat work day for those who can come on Sat and those who can work on Sunday can do so also. Think this may get more help and more work done?

I coudn't find the post about the official work day, sounds like either day there will be someone there. I plan to get down there, not sure which day. I can bring extra hand tools if needed.

Robin, thanks for any help from the bramba crew, it will be very much appreciated. Looks Like we are going to have people there both days to work and we have a lot to do. anyone who can come either day should be able to hook up with one of us in the morning. Starting around 7 to beat the heat and a shower also. Thanks again for any help.

We had 2 crews working this morning.. got alot done.. Crew 1:Tim, Steve, Myself and Ryan worked from the trailhead. We cleared Headless Horse, Freesons, Zephyr, Gazz and Chu Chut.. We were able to put the approach ramp to the berm bridge, back in position and secure it.. The bridge on the return side, that floated into the tree line will take at least 8 to 10 guys to move it or a 4 wheeler to pull it back to it's spot. In the Zephyr we did a temp fix of an erosion area.

Crew 2: Macgyver, Alex and Jay work on repairing the large berm they had built... They used a come-along and chains to winch that beast of a wooden structure back into place.. next moving all that earth..

Overall, the front section of trail looks very nice.. if we get out of this rainy weather cycle, the trail to Seinfeld will be good .. We had a shower this morning and it slopped up quick..

For those going out there tomorrow.. bring plenty of water and mosquito repellent.

Got some good work in today for sure. I'll be at the trail head at about 7ish(on the 24th) for those that want to get an early start. Bring your boots as its still muddy and plenty of water. I drained a 100ml bladder. You'll need rakes, shovels, pruners, machete, bug repellant and if you got it chain saw. If any one needs it my number is 504-214--1176.

Just went and got myself some new boots, so I'm ready for tomorrow. Sorry I couldn't make it today...

I don't have much tools, but I do have a shovel and some gloves ;-) and an extremely smart brain... But you wouldn't know

I would like to thank everyone who attended the workday. Robin, Ray m, Kris, Wayne, Tim, Ryan, Rhys, Jonathan, and Jesse for the help out there yesterday. It was greatly appreciated. We still have a lot of work to do out there, so if you couldn't make it you will have more opportunities to lend a hand.
