Possible Races/ Need feedback

Hey It's Jeff from FORGE Racing.
2 Questions and I'd love your feedback:

1) A possible MTB race from Baton Rouge to New Orleans (Audubon Park) in conjunction with the ROUGE ORLEANS race next year. It's all on the levee and is 126.2 miles. Holly and Jeremy rode it in March at the Inaugural ROUGE ORLEANS. Do yall think locals and regional folks would be interested? We promise great prizes :-)
2) A possible 12 hour or so solo and relay MTB race. The most laps wins. We are thinking on calling it "Race the Sun" because we'd either do it from exactly sun up to sun down or exactly sun down to sun up...maybe do long loop laps including Hooper/ Comite or do it at the BEAST.

Share these ideas with people you know and let me know. The 126.2 race would be February 2012 and the "Race the Sun" race would be this fall maybe.
Thanks yall.

I would personally be much more likely to ride a 12 hr race than a rouge to orleans. My heart stays in the dirt. 126.2 miles ends up being more of a road ride.....

I agree with ebeck0721, riding from BR to New Orleans on a mountain bike sounds dull.

A 12 or 24 Hour mountain bike race at Comite or Hooper also sounds boring, but would participate if available. A 12 or 24 Hour mountain bike race at The Beast sounds potentially dangerous, but I haven't ridden up there in a while and have heard Lynn has built lots of new trails and made the current trails safer. I would talk to Randy Alveraz (W. Feliciana Parish Parks Director) if you want to hold an event at The Beast. He would have the final say.
If you can't be fast, at least have fun.
