NOMAMBO Insanity Check Century 2/21/16

Post by Robin » Wed Feb 17, 2016 2:47 pm

Insanity Check 2016 is this Sunday starting at 8 at the Acadiana Park Mountain Bike Trails!

With the Spillway trail still in recovery mode - Bike Acadiana graciously offered up their Lafayette trails to host this event. The Acadiana Park Mountian Bike Trails are located within Acadiana Park in northeast Lafayette, at the corner of E. Alexander Street and Lajaunie Road, less than 2 miles from the 104 exit along I-10.

This is a totally free event and is open to anyone! Test yourself as you complete as many laps as you can during the day. The total cumulative laps of all members from Mountain Bike Acadiana, BRAMBA, Nomambo, and others will be totaled to see which group is truly insane. So even if you complete just 2 laps, we still want you there! Also, The Bus Stop Food Truck will be on location to serve up their awesome burgers and fries! Acadiana Bicycle Company will also be on site for any repair needs your bike may have! So come ride all morning, fuel up with a burger, and jump back on your bike in the afternoon!

BRAMBA will have a tent out there with water coolers to refill camelbaks and some Powerade on hand. Club membership not required for any of the groups/locations - so come out and help BR win the coveted "Iron Taint" trophy!
Every lap counts!!

See you all Sunday!

Post from NOMAMBO:

"We would like to congratulate the Lafayette crew on an awesome showing.
They now hold the IRON-TAINT trophy till next year. Their area had a total of 220 laps, Nola 204, Baton Rouge 195, Lake Charles 137.
Also, thank you to Chris Baker and their crew for hosting this year's event. If you are ever in the area, you need to check this little gem out. Very fun trail.
One other thing,
There were three people to finish the 26 laps.
Bramaba's Charley Rome
Lafayette's Cole (will have to look up his last name
And Lake Charles's Chad Ross
Congratulations to yall for completing the event"
