The Beast

Anyone know if it's rideable or are the repairs that are needed make it undoable?

The trail is in great condition, but is probably a little wet due to the recent rain.
If you go this Sunday, be careful because it will be a workday and some of the bridges will be raplaced during the day.

Planning to go tomorrow. Never been there so it ought to be "fun".

Just returned from there. Very little rain as compared to the Baton Rouge area. You might get hijacked by a work detail. :)

Well, we hit The Beast yesterday (or should I say it hit us). Had a good time even though we had to walk portions of the trail due to our lack of ability. What a way to break in a brand new bike (just got it Friday). Ran in to Pivot working on the bridges and gave him a hand dragging some boards closer to his work area from the wood pile. That man should be given some sort of humanitarian award for his efforts, hat's off to him. Back to Comite next weekend so I can have my truck broken into.

Trail is great!! If you haven't been there in awhile (like me), get up there and enjoy. Have to see what's up next Sat, but will definitely try and help out on the 7th. Had a great ride though, and ton of fun. We (Cody and Chris) also ran into Wayne working on the trail. The bridges are outstanding.

Still in great shape. Seems to be water running across trail just pass the old drop. (leaking pipe or something?) The open areas/powerline are growing up alittle. Just needs a few more riders. Saw 3 other riders this morning.

Was working in St. Francisville this morning, and that area received very little rain. Trail should be great for the weekend.

The trail was in good shape today. All of the down trees have been cut out as well as most face slappers.
unfortunately the grades are as steep as ever!

Rode yesterday and the trail is in the best shape i've ever seen it. Downed trees are cut out, trail has been cleared, blown and all but the very last section is buffed out and fast. Best ride i've ever has there. Props on the trail work and the bridge work. Can't believe how few people ride there.

Post up whoevers doing the work, I don't check in here too much but I'd like to lend a hand if and when I can.
