Anyone been to Clear Springs recently, or know the condition of the trails.
Thanks

Some folks have been going out to work, but I hear there are still lots of trees down.

Anyone know what condition Clear Springs is in these days. I heard there were a lot of downed trees after Isaac. Anyone know if trails have been mostly cleared since then?

Any updates on Clear Springs? Would really like to ride Richardsons creek trail this weekend. Though not sure how much rain the area got this week

Just saw your post so this doesn't help you for this past weekend but ALL 3 trails (Mills, Richardsons, and Tally's) are back open, cleared of down trees, and ride-able (though probably a little wet right now)

Ahh very nice. I may try this weekend then if it doesn't get to much rain. Thanks Robin.

Gary,

The trails should be fairly dry after today. You will find a few new trees down and new debris from the recent two weeks of rain and winds.
However the trails are all open and rideable.

This is from Gary who just got back from Clear Springs:
gary g wrote:I case someone is thinking of making a trip to Clear Springs, well I suggest you find another place. The trail overall needs a lot of TLC. The trail is still wet in quiet a few spots. A lot of down trees have been cut, but there are still about 4 or 5 that need to be cut. Lots of erosion and exposed roots. The trail needs to be blown off bad. Lost our way momentarily a couple of times because the trail just disappeared in front of us. If that doesn't bother you then this is the trail for you.

Went out this past Sunday 2/3/13 and the trail was in excellent condition. Only about 3 or 4 trees we had to hop over and minor difficulty was navigating with the leave and pine-needle coverage

Richardson Loop in good shape. Major thanks to FS for the obvious tree clearings, including tractor work. They've mowed some open sections, but one short jungle to negotiate. There's a great opty for some fun re-rerouting at the big tractor mess and also on long standing erosion by some oil tanks. Total of only 3 trees you cannot ride over/around. Attempted, perhaps in vain, to divert some of the H2O on the first big climb.
