Yvette, First thanks for the work. It is hard, hot and insect bite intense this time of year. Winter is by far the most pleasant time to do trail work. Walking the trail is great way to learn the layout. And in winter with the underbrush died back you can really see how close the trail passes itself in spots. The painted on tree markings are outdated and need to be painted over. The orange fiberglass posts are meant to replace them. The numbers on the trailhead map match them with a few minor mistakes, not enough to get someone totally lost.
There is currently a project underway to produce a map of Hooper and mark the trail with the orange trail signs. The accuracy of this effort is astounding. The same process is being applied to correct and update the Comite map. The Hooper map should be available for viewing through a link on the forum soon. With the Comite map following shortly. BREC will provide printing services and construct a kiosk at Hooper to display the new map.
Thanks for this projects success go to Wayne Cox, David Cox, Ray Mitchell, Robin Diamond, the rest of the BRAMBA Board members and BREC.
