Next workday will be Saturday March 24th, we will build kiosks to hold the new map signs for Hooper.

Whoops - I know we discussed this date (actually Sunday because Ray has his beer fest on Saturday) but I completely forgot that is the weekend of Backpacker's Adventure Race. I will be helping them set up on Sat and working the race on Sunday the 25th (along with Holly). Hopefully many others will be there racing! Were all the other March weekends out?

The 10th & 17th are out for me and the 31st is Velo Louisiane.

Still on for the 24th. I know we will lose a few people in prep for the Backpacker Adventure race, but it was the only weekend left before the Hooper Hustle on April 1st that isn't taken up with something else. I have work this Saturday and a Cub Scout camp-out the rest of the weekend.
So I hope to see as many of you as possible on the 24th as we have a lot to accomplish. There is a broken bridge on the main trail and 2 more kiosk to build, also gravel to fill muddy spots with if we get another trailer in time.

Sorry I can't make this one, just too much going on in March.

The bridge should be an easy fix, it only needs to be raised a couple of inches on one side. You could use a five foot 2X6 to nail along the side when you raise it (this could be doubled if you cross it with the four wheeler) and one 2X6 about 4 feet long to replace the broken deck board and you wil be good to go. That should take care of it for quite a while.

The hard tail bridges might need a check also.

Burns I don't know if you heard, but there are multiple trees down through out Hooper, one described as very large. There were two or three on the small part of the trail I was on during thr last trail work day.
Do you have more than one chainsaw?
