2012 Kerry Stamey Memorial Group Ride & BBQ

Please come out and join us in remembering our dear friend and trail advocate Kerry Stamey. Kerry lost his fight to cancer 6 years ago. His years of dedication and love for biking helped build the wonderful trail system we all enjoy so much today. He loved nothing more than seeing others out having a great time together on the bike and so to honor his memory we celebrate and ride these great trails we are so fortunate to have.

WHEN: Sunday, April 29, 2011 at 12:00pm
WHERE: Comite Trail Head
WHAT: BBQ will begin @ 12ish

- Memorial Group Ride for all levels of riders with a stop at Kerry's beach
- Slow Race
- Time Trial
- Cycle Circle (paint small circles on the ground and see who can stay inside the lines longest)
- Gear Toss (sort of like horseshoes with a cassette cog)
- Kan Jam? (does not require bike skills)

We will have a BIG pit (courtesy of Lloyd) out by the pavilion. BRAMBA will provide the burgers and hotdogs.

.....what is kan jam?

It's a game involving two teams of two players each. It's points based, and each team tries to get the frisbee into what is essentially a small garbage can by throwing directly into it, or more frequently slapping/jamming the frisbee into it. I don't like it because Jeff V. and Holly cheat, but I'll play again for sure.

Shucks, we can't make it for the group ride and BBQ
Annie's truck needs some work done (install new catalytic converter) and sunday is the only day my buddy is available to helpe get it done. We had a good ole time w everyone last year, but looks like we will have to wait till next years ride. Y'all have a fun time and take some videos of the contest for those who can't make it!

Nice seeing everyone even though it was a bit short. Kids...you never what to expect. Thanks for the ride with her Gaby she had fun!
