Hey robin, my wife (Annie) said she would like to go out for the skills training and ride afterwards. Is this something that cost $$? If so how much (if u know)? Gonna try to talk teddy into getting his wife out to ride w y'all also. Is this gonna be just a 'women's only' group ride after?

Cody - Annie (and Teddy's wife) should definitely come to this! It will be a great experience for them. And yes - the group ride afterwards is ladies only. It is just a less intimating atmosphere when just women - more of the "well, if she can do it - then I can do it" attitude.....rather than watching the husband/boyfriend - where the attitude tends to be "of course you can do it - but I don't know if I can".

As gets closer - we will pick a meeting spot in town for anyone that wants to carpool / caravan over. Lets us know for sure if they can come. Eric will need a head count.

I'll be there with a buddy of mine as well. I plan on riding a few loops while the ladies are doing the clinic. Then partaking in a few adult beverages while they go on their group ride

Eric - It is KILLING to me to have to miss such a FANTASTIC event - but I am going to have to pass on the clinic tomorrow. My surgeon was able to fit me in and pulled the hardware from my knee on the 4th. As much as I wanted to go and support this, I think I need to be smart and continue to follow doctors orders for my final week and a half to go. I literally have been changing my mind on this every day. I was thinking I could still possibly pedal with 12 stitches in my knee but, I do know that the way my knee pad rubs - I couldn't wear it. And having the pins pulled out means my knee cap is week until the holes in the bone finishing filling back in. If I was to go down right now - my doc says I could risk fracturing it and after 6 months of torture - I can't possibly go thru any more.

I hope you have a great turnout.
It is rare that a bike shop takes interest in us mt biking chicks, and to offer a clinic, goody bags, and lunch for FREE!?!
Truly awesome! THANK YOU :!: THANK YOU :!: for hosting this.

LADIES - YOU ARE CRAZY IF YOU PASS THIS UP!
This will be a such a great experience for you all.

This is Annie. :) I had a great time today! It was nice to ride with a great group of ladies. There were lots of friendly faces and love for the sport. Thank you Trek, Eastbank Cyclery and NOMAMBO for giving us ladies an opportunity to improve our skills and kick some butt. I am proud to say I only flew off my bike once taking a curve but no blood spilled. :P
